SINGLE USER LICENSE
A SINGLE USER LICENSE is sufficient when only one person at a time works with the sounds, like in the following cases:
- You are a freelancer and have up to two workstations (e.g. home and office).
- You are a company and only have one audio workstation. Even if you have multiple sound designers working with that single workstation, as long as they can’t work with the sounds simultaneously and you don’t copy the sounds to a second workstation, the SINGLE USER license is your choice.
- You are a company and have multiple audio workstations but only one sound designer. As there’s only one person working with the sounds, the SINGLE USER license is sufficient. (If you hire more sound designers later, you’ll need to upgrade your license type accordingly)
- For the QUIET PLANET® nature sounds, BUYOUT versions can only be granted to named individuals, including single person businesses. Any company or business that has more than one member (including founders, members, staff and employees), needs to purchase the SUBSCRIPTION version.
MULTI USER LICENSE
MULTI USER LICENCES work like a software volume license. They are necessary when more than one person can work with the sounds simultaneously, like in the following cases:
- You have multiple workstations where multiple sound designers can work with the sounds. Each workstation counts as a user.
- You have a shared audio server where multiple users have access to. You need a license for each user.
DEVELOPER LICENSE
If you would like to develop your own product with BOOM Library sound effects (e.g.: KONTAKT instruments, VST plugins, audio apps, trailer templates, sound FX libraries, etc.), you need a developer license, which basically means that we get a small share in the product using our sounds.
