What we recorded
We brought a massive collection of firearms into a deadened, acoustically treated recording space for GUN HANDLING. Moving away from the live shooting range allowed us to capture the micro-details of the weapons. We recorded the friction of metal on metal, the heavy snap of a bolt action, the hollow scrape of an empty magazine, and the subtle adjustments of a tactical grip. We focused heavily on the quiet, tactile moments that sound designers often struggle to find clean recordings of.
