From time to time, we come up with some tips and recommendations to help you finding your way through the jungle of audio equipment. Today, we present to you one of our sound designers’ favorite plugins and why Michael loves working with it.
Read on to learn what Michael likes so much about the Visualizer V2 – Audio Analysis Suite by Nugen Audio and how he uses it in his daily workflow:
MICHAEL SCHWENDLER / LEAD SOUND DESIGNER • BOOM LIBRARY
„The Visualizer truly convinced me right from the start. It’s an FFT analyzer which allows you to create a high-res visual feedback which in addition to the acoustics helps a lot to handle the overall sound mix. At one glance, you’ll be able to spot the peaks and to intervene straight away – EQing thus becomes a walk in the park. Processing our BOOM SFX is not only much more fun with the Visualizer, it also simplifies our work enormously, because it demonstrates clearly where there are still weaknesses in the recordings. The plugin principally serves me as a plugin in the master bus for every project, it’s really helpful. It also covers the low frequency range very reliably in a very high resolution, including a zoom function to adjust in detail. For my part, I mostly use the frequency analysis and the goniometer, but the Visualizer offers plenty more possibilities to adjust to your specific individual needs. If you want to find out more about the other features visit their website.
I can recommend the Visualizer to everyone working with sound data: it’ll allow you an excellent overview of the frequency composition and facilitate your daily business as a sound designer. If you wish to rely on a tool that offers you a precise visual feedback and additionally comes with a user-friendly handling, the Visualizer needs to be your choice.”
Thanks for letting us in on this, Michael! 🙂
