Getting to know the projects of our customers is a very rewarding and inspiring part of our work. This time, the French Sound Editor Yohann Bernard shares his BOOM experience with us:

“I have loved BOOM Library sounds for long now, but with the incredible recordings of Gordon Hempton’s TROPICAL FORESTS (5.0) I found exactly what I needed for the surround installation of the Gabon Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015. The setup consists of three big screens that surround the visitors: “The pavilion’s setting plunges visitors into the heart of the equatorial forest so they may discover the specific cultural and culinary heritage of the country, reflecting the lifestyles of the population.” It was a real pleasure to work on this project, listening to all these fantastic recordings ‒ hours of material ‒, looking for the audio gems! The original binaural audio is so pure and immersive that it makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of these hostile pristine forests. The 5.0 extractions of these TROPICAL FORESTS recordings are simply fantastic! For the Morocco Pavilion, I used quite a lot of the OUTDOOR IMPULSE RESPONSES. I had to simulate different Moroccan outdoor environments: mountains, streets, souks, desert, seacoast, underwater… These IR were perfect and are fantastic for any outdoor world-izing need.”
We’re always happy and excited to hear directly from our customers why they like our products and which projects they have used them in. Thanks so much for sharing, dear BOOM Library supporters!
