We’re always happy to hear directly from our customers why they like our BOOM Library products and which projects they used them in. It’s always a pleasure for us to read the replies and learn what the sound designers like about our libraries. This time Morné Marais from Sound Surgeon Studios shares his BOOM Library experience with us:
“Sound Surgeon Studios have been using BOOM Library SFX since Sound Surgeon Studios were born in 2008, and I have to say it has transformed the way I tackle sound design.
The quality of the SFX makes it so easy to ‘sit’ in a mix because of the well-engineered pre-mix on the SFX, which makes it a breeze to work with.
BOOM Library provides us with critical and fast selection of core SFX that we layer with our in-house foley and custom SFX to create huge soundscapes in no time.
Our latest project that shows off what I’m referring to is called Ninth Life Crises, which I had lots of fun working on. I made use of quite a few libraries which includes, but not limited to Assault Weapons, Black Powder, Creatures, Debris, Gun Handling and their latest addition called GRIP.
All this adds up to an amazing experience which makes me love being a sound designer and I cannot wait to see what the team at BOOM Library comes up with next. All sound designers should have their eyes glued to their website like I am on a daily basis.
