From time to time we share “Feedback from the BOOM Library family” on our blog. Today we are happy to introduce you to re-recording mixer and sound designer Jonathan Greasley from King Soundworks.
“Your libraries are a big hit amongst myself and the sound designers I work with. I also use Turbine, and more recently SoundWeaver, which I really dig. It’s a great creative tool for when you need a quick inspiration jolt on a new idea.
We used Cinematic Horror, Modern UI, The Interface, and Sci-Fi Bundle between Season 2 of The Orville, (Fox), Nightflyers (SyFy), and Netflix’s upcoming mission to mars show Away, Starring Hilary Swank. They were all a huge help with the tight schedules for episodic, where we don’t have the time to sit and twiddle with oscillators and synths for hours to build a library of custom UI feedback and interface sounds. They’re as good as anything we’d come up with on our own.
And I’m currently using SoundWeaver on the upcoming HULU film Books of Blood directed by Brannon Braga, which is an adaptation of the Clive Barker book. “ – Jonathan Greasley
