MachineGames is looking for a Voice Over Designer to craft and implement stellar sound design for the games they create in Uppsala, Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the working pipelines for VO production, from script through to localized languages.
- Practical R&D to expand upon dialogue recording techniques, to strive for increasing quality.
- Edit, process and implement both placeholder & final delivered VO.
- Attend mocap shoots & VO sessions where required.
- Work with Audio and Creative Directors to ensure dialogue fits the world we’re building.
- Find, report and fix audio bugs.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 AAA games shipped on an audio team – at least one of those where VO was your focus.
- A strong grasp of the fundamentals of audio engineering, preferably with related education.
- Demonstrable skill and knowledge in recording and manipulating audio.
- A passion for fps audio.
- A strong ability to organize and maintain documentation and pipeline data.
- Ability to liaise with multiple disciplines to aid the development of proprietary tracking and implementation technology.
- Experience using popular middleware such as Wwise.
- Knowledge of scripting audio in 3d map editors and visual scripting tools.
- Experience recording in the field and at the mocap stage.
