Since ENRAGE’s release, we have been hard at work expanding it, debugging it, and improving the experience in every way imaginable. An important design feature we thought about with ENRAGE is that we can keep adding devices as we go, constantly increasing the value of your FX plugin.
This time around, we added the “Timbre” device, which allows for formant shifting, brightening/darkening, and the creative processing of signals in the spectral domain. It sounds especially great on polyphonic material. Try it out!
Additionally, we added quite a few new features, GUI options, and 50 new presets.
Here are just some of the updates in 1.2:
- Added an additional 80% UI Scale option; helpful on small screens with large dpi factors
- Improved normalization of impulse responses in IR Verb device; an automatically enabled legacy normalization for old presets can be toggled in the sample popup menu
- Repeater device now allows to control and modulate playback speed
- Frequency shifter device now has a stereo spread mode and feedback control
- Gate MIDI mod source; outputs either 0 or 1 depending on trigger state; also works in audio trigger mode (can be more convenient than using an ADSR envelope)
- Minor performance improvements in oscillators and reverb
- Waveshaper now initializes DC filter on voice start, preventing clicks
- A base UI scale can now be configured in global settings (requires reopening the UI)
- Now when hovering over modulation sources, assignment targets are highlighted; double clicking opens editors of assignment targets
- More consistent behavior of Pitch Shifter device in both modes
- Minor performance improvements in Vocoder device
