Bigpoint is looking for a new Audio Lead who will be responsible for their Hamburg and Lyon Studio. Sounds good?
“You need min. 5-7 years experience and proven track record as Audio Lead on commercially relevant projects. The Audio Lead position @ Bigpoint is full time, onsite in Hamburg/Germany – a beautiful place to be! We are rather looking for somebody who has a broad range of qualifications then a specialist in a specific area. Here are some specs:
- Responsibilities will be:
- Scheduling and planning for the audio department.
- Hands on Sound Design and mix for games and marketing material.
- Overseeing the work of the Hamburg audio team.
- Integration and testing in Unity/FMOD Studio
- Create/improve/oversee processes, tools and best practices to achieve best possible structures and pipelines.
- Dependency management with multiple game teams in a 400+ employee studio.
- Briefings and outsourcing management for external composers/freelancers.
- Identification of upcoming problems in the production schedule and finding ways to solve those.
- Planing of audio related workshops with the Director in charge.
- We expect you to bring:
- Excellent knowledge of preferred Audio postproduction and batch processing software (Protools, Reaper, Wavelab, NI Synths) and plugins.
- Demonstrated ability to create/manage high quality audio assets within tight production timeframes.
- Experience in creation, integration and mixing audio content for in-game, trailers, demo’s and conferences.
- Being organized and structured, ideally having experience in organizational areas.
- Excellent knowledge of at least one common 3rd party audio engine. (FMOD, WWISE, Fabric…)
- Multi project development experience.
- Plusses:
- Mobile development experience.
- Strong technical background/knowledge regarding game and audio engines.
- Musical background.
- Experience working with external, original IPs.
- Dealt with voice recording studios and voice productions.
- Unity and FMOD Studio experience.
