In the blog category "BOOM TOOLS" we talk about what tools, gadgets, plug-ins and hardware our sound designers are using. Today it's all about the digital audio workstation of Michael Schwendler.


Michael is one of our sound designers and a lot of BOOM Libraries and great SFX projects bear his mark. His track-record includes famous games such as "Alan Wake"/Microsoft, "Blade & Soul"/NC Soft, "KINECT Rush"/Disney•Pixar and many more. To ensure a trouble-free and straight-forward workflow, Michael customized his workstation to fit his specific needs. Read on to see which components Michael put into this tower of power.


  • DESKTOP HOUSING

    Michael uses an ultrasilent tower desktop housing with rubber-sprung HD frames to absorb any noise that may come from the storage hard drives. Inside the housing there are ultra-silent 120mm fans.
